Undocumented Reduction in Cf Org Quota Memory Limits

Hello Again,

I wanted to ask the community if anyone else has experienced a reduction in the overall memory quota for CF Orgs.

This is the exact same situation I detailed in this question from 2020 except in this case it is memory not routes. https://answers.sap.com/questions/13167577/undocumented-reduction-in-cf-org-quota-route-limit.html

As is the case with software, anytime there is some sort of reduction or truncation in allocated space whether that be routes, memory, or even the length of a database column, there can be negative side-effects. In our case, we have a common development environment that often uses ~20 GB of memory. This recent reduction in available org quota memory to 10GB has put us in a tricky situation as we can now no longer redeploy our applications reliably.

We are on a pay as you go plan which means we shouldn't be running into any entitlement issues.

Additionally, the methods to manually change the quota via CF API are unavailable as only SAP has authorization to change these.

The only option I'm aware of to fix this is to open a support ticket which itself is not the most straightforward as the automated help explicitly discourages you from opening an incident!

I know I'm not the only person to be negatively impacted by this so I wanted to create this community question nonetheless so that SAP can hopefully provide a more holistic resolution, ideally a restoration of the previous quota limits.

Thanks,

Brian

It appears that this common quota was adjusted with the memory limit restored to 50GB. It would be good to get confirmation from others that were impacted or SAP themselves. If I can get that I'll close the question.

It has been restored to previous values for us as well.

We are unfortunately seeing the same issue and have not received any comms from SAP. At this time, it is not advisable to strop any services, as you may not be able to re-start them, due to low memory.

The quota is restored to 50GB, once again, no communication from SAP on what caused the change of quota.

We are having the same issue, thank you for notifying this. Please SAP return it to original settings and at least notify us in advance!
