Hello SAP ABAP community, I am excited to start learning ABAP Development, the company I work for has implemented SAP S/4 HANA and that becomes a great Laboratory for my department which is Software Development.

We are absolute beginners and want to start a career with SAP ABAP.

Things we do now are mobile apps, web apps, integrations, web services, database design.

We would like to have a little guidence to know the right starting point.

You may recommend courses, books, etc. Of course I'm exploring this site but everything looks so exciting that we want to have it all jeje.

Have a great day!

Hi Raul!

If you are already familiar with other programming languages, the coding exercises on the Exercism-website might give you a good starting point:

ABAP on Exercism

After seeing it mentioned in the blog post Abap on Exercism published by lars.hvam, I gave it a try myself and then wrote about the fun I had in my own blog post.

Update: keller.m created a neat guide to get started with ABAP as a Github-repository which you can find here: https://github.com/Keller-Michael/ABAP_starter. There's also a new interview with Michael available on Youtube about getting started with ABAP.

Cheers and happy learning!
