SAP BusinessObjects Private Cloud Edition and SAP Analytics Cloud

According to this blog including the answers to the questions on this blog and Statement of Direction, I have understood that SAC is for the purpose of data visualization, interactivity and intelligent data exploration. On the other hand, SAP BOBJ is for enterprise reporting functions (i.e. extremely complex reports) and large-scale planning/distribution.

For customers who use SAP BOBJ 4.3 SP 3 on-Primse (supported untiend 2025 for mainstream maintenance, and 2027 for priority 1 support.) there are the following future options either for SAC or for SAP BOBJ (on-primse or on PCE) or for both (parallel use ) to decide.

I have some questions and I hope you can help me.

Will there be an end date for SAP BOBJ PCE (4.3)? If yes, then what would be the solution after that?

Thanks.

Thami

No, there's no end of life date yet and we only mention that the next release will be supported until at least a certain date. We will communicate about subsequent releases as long as we progress in time.

Hi Thami,

As detailled in the SAP Analytics Business Intelligence Statement of Direction, SAP BusinessObjects BI 2025 will be a successor of BI 4.3 and will be avaialble both on premise and as managed cloud (PCE).

Hope this clarifies.

Best,

Eric

Hi Eric,

thank you for the quick answer.

Yes, exactly.

SAP BOBJ 2025 (on Primse and as managed Cloud PCE) also has an end of life (will be supported until at least the end of 2029 for mainstream maintenance and until 2031 for priority 1 support). However, what is the solution for customers who wish to continue using SAP BOBJ afterward?
