Hi All,

We are doing to SP upgrade using SUM and during execution phase we are getting below error

DDIC password does not work:

RFC login to system SBR ashost xxxxxxx nr 01 gwhost xxxxxxx gwservice sapgw01 failed with code 2 key RFC_LOGON_FAILURE: SNC required for this connection.

Could you please suggest how can we resolve this error without restarting the server.

Regards,

Ramana

SAP says:

  • SUM certificates are not required if the RFC authentication with user and password is allowed, that is, if the parameter snc/accept_insecure_rfc is active in your system
--> this didnt work on our side although snc/accept_insecure_rfc =1 --- so we still need to exchange the certifictes. Anybody the same issue that snc/accept_insecure_rfc =1 was not sufficient?

Hi Santosh,
may check this out:

https://help.sap.com/docs/SLTOOLSET/b0d775c8a9fd47b985a5e66ddba31d33/6a1e4f1d078f40698ce48acf5f09beb...

It´s part of the SUM guide and it helped me to pass the authentication step in SUM.

Michael
