When planning update/upgrade of certain software components/add-ons, you must fulfill the import conditions (of every component) that may require including certain versions of dependent components too.
You have two approaches to plan an upgrade:
1. Update via SUM. Maintenance planner will automatically include the dependencies during planning.

2. Update via SPAM. In this case, pre-conditions (import conditions of a package) needs to be checked manually and shall be included in the update/upgrade.
