Questions about the SAP Readiness Check for SAP S/4HANA Upgrade to 2023

Hello SAP,

We are planning to upgrade our current release of SAP S4HANA DIGITS FPS02 to SAP S4HANA DIGITS FPS01 in the 3rd quarter. Can you please help us with the following points:

• SAP Readiness Check Tool for upgrade - What notes to we need to implements and what are the instructions to run the Tool?
• Simplification Item Check - How do we run the checks and validate what will be affected with the current functionality of our environment
• Sandbox Environment with a Copy of Production - What is the procedure to create a Sandbox Environment and run the Upgrade?

Dear Customer, 

Please have a look at SAP Note 3059197 - SAP Readiness Check for SAP S/4HANA upgrades. This overview note contains the required notes to be reviewed or applied to enable the different checks in the SAP Readiness Check Tool.

After prepared the tool, by running the RC_COLLECT_ANALYSIS_DATA report, a ZIP file will be generated with the following name: S4RCAnalysisData<SID><DATE> (RC2AnalysisData<SID><DATE>), which can be uploaded to the could application (https://me.sap.com/readinesscheck) to give you the report for next steps. 

If you cannot use the production system, you can also use a copy of the production system with a few additional steps as outlined in SAP Note 2568736. Or for how to do the system copy, also see Note 1875778 - Performance Optimization for System Copy Procedures.
