Hi,
We have observed the following behavior regarding the 'Assign to' function at Planning & Dispatching > Dispatching Board:
When the dispatcher colleague uses the 'Assign to' function to assign a new activity to a technician who already has some assignments, then the technician will have parallel assignments.
We don't want to let the technicians to have parallel assignments. Can we modify this behavior somehow?
Our requirement would be to choose the next free time slot instead of creating parallel assignments, is it possible to change this function's behavior like this?

Hi,
The mentioned 'Assign to' function at Planning & Dispatching > Dispatching Board considers the given Activity's planned start date and planned end date values. When the dispatcher clicks on it, then the Service Assignment will be created according to those values. If they contains dates that are in the past, then today's date will be used when the system creates the new assignments. This might cause that the technician will have multiple assignments in parallel.
The following company setting can be modified, so the system will not allow the technicians to have parallel assignments. Look for the CoreSystems.CoresystemsFSM.ResourcePlanner company setting in Admin > Company settings, and change the allowOverlappingAssignments to false.
