Non standard SD-LIS extraction to BI 7

Hi all!

I have a problem with LO Cockpit as long as it's the first time I'm using it. I hope someone can help me with this.

My BIG question IS: Does LO Cockpit extraction structures work with non standard LIS Structures? Or should I used old LIS extraction instead?

These are my questions in resume:

1. Does LO Cockpit works for LIS Structures created by users?

2. How can I monitor how the extractor is working?

3. Is there a way to see what info is been loaded in the setup tables?

4. Shall I used old LIS extraction instead? How does this old way works? (I have never done that in my BI life!!!)

Some explanations:

In my actual project, users get SD data (orders and billing data) from three LIS structures S546, S547 and S549 (as you can see they are non standard!!!) . These structures have some ZZ fields created by the users and all of them are populated with formulas defined in the MC26 Trx.

These 3 structures are similar, as long as S546 (monthly) = S549 (weekly), they have the same structure but for the time periodicity, and S547 is a copy of S546 but with a change in two characteristics (as long as LIS only can have 9 characteristics, they changed two of them to have another view of the information).

I need to populate my 0SD_C03 cube with this info. I've been reading about LO Cockpit and doing some tests but cannot obtained what I want.

For example, in S546 I have a field ZZKWMENG that is populated by a formula (600). This field's reference is the MCVBAP-KWMENG and it is defined in the MCVBAP append structure.

In LBWE I have included the ZZKWMENG field in my extraction structure and in the datasource 2LIS_11_VAITM, then I have run the setup tables loading. But when I do a test in RSA3 it seems that this field is always empty.

How can I be sure that this value is properly been extracted? as long as I need it in BI.

I think that maybe, LO Cockpit doesn't work with LIS structures created by the user, or maybe I'm doing something wrong... how can I monitor the way the data extractor is working with this field?

1. Do I need to activate standard LIS structures (S001 - S006) and (S260 - S262) in order to use LO Cockpit?

2. Or LO Cockpit gets data from VBAK, VBAP, VBRK, VBRP tables?

3. I have some ZZ fields in a S546 structure, how can I get the values of that fields into BI?

Look............for LIS structure u cannot use LO cockpit................LO Cockpit is only for LO structure........

2. Or LO Cockpit gets data from VBAK, VBAP, VBRK, VBRP tables?

LO Datasources cannot access the Application tables directly...............due to this we use Set up table as an interface...........first we need to fill Set up table...........Init and Full upload will pick records from the Set up table........

3. I have some ZZ fields in a S546 structure, how can I get the values of that fields into BI?

For that u hav to use Customer Exit........

LIS and LO Extraction both r for Logistic only..............buy now LIS structure is obsolet.............we use LO extraction........

No...............LO and LIS extraction is different.............for an example for LO extraction we use delta queue.........there is no delta queue in LIS extraction.........

2. How can I monitor how the extractor is working?

Check whether data is there in the Extraction structure or not..............Check in RSA3......

3. Is there a way to see what info is been loaded in the setup tables?

Yes......:)

For an example datasource 2LIS_11_VAHDR..............then the Extraction structure name is MC11VAOHDR................ then set up tables name is MC11VAOHDRSETUP.......

Go to SE11/SE16>> Give the table name and check.......

4. Shall I used old LIS extraction instead? How does this old way works? (I have never done that in my BI life!!!)

I think u should use LO extraction............For LIS ie old way check this.........
