No connection possible from action in automation to S/4HANA system on-premise

Hi SAP Community,

I got a problem with the connection from an automation building block (artifact) in SAP Build Process Automation (SBPA) to an S/4HANA on-premise system. What I am trying to do is simply post some data in an action within the automation.

Here is what I configured so far:

Destination: 

• Proxy Type: Internet
• Basic Authentication
• Host: Internal Host Name of Cloud Connector

(As recommended by this Note https://me.sap.com/notes/3251797)

I added the destination to SBPA. Then I created an Action Project with the SAP standard API from my S/4 system. When I try to pull some data with a GET request, it always appears the following message :"Maximum response size has been exceeded. Apply parameters (like $top) to reduce the query response size"

When I try to run the automation with the action in debugging mode the execution runs into an error with no error message, just a 403 code.

Did anyone experience a similar behaviour and is will to help?

I found the solution. It was simply missing a parameter in the destination.
I advise you to carefully revise the parameters and compare also to your security settings.

Hi fischerm, Can you please update the parameter name which you have added? We are also struggling connecting the backend S4 on-premise. Can you please help?
