I have an ICO in SAP PO that I want to migrate.
1 sender (SOAP XI Protocol), content based routing, 2 receivers, both receivers have a mapping, both receivers have a REST receiver channel with XML to JSON conversion. Synchronous scenario.
Migration assessment indicates that this is going to be a small migration effort.
However when migrating this interface no template is available (only default).
This is how the assessment should work? In the end you have to migrate manually or use default.
Hello,
I think the issue is that there is a lot of confusion about how to interpret the assessment report.
The assessment category and effort reflect if the scenario can be migrated to Integration Suite regardless if you use a tool or do it manually.
We are aware that we suppose very often the default template, we addressed this with a more generic approach which is about to be released by mid of this year. The default template should be history once this is launched.
kind regards

Hello Ron,
our approach is to support the migration of any scenario, but our goal is not to 100% migrate scenarios. As there are many use cases which still require manual interaction. With probably mid of the year we plan to release the new version of the migration tool. The focus here is to always offer a pattern for migration. Furthermore, the migration tool should not stop on an error and migrate the supported features, which allows to continue afterwards on enhancing the produced output and not starting from scratch. You can still raise a ticket if some features are not working, but you won't be blocked from continuing. The summary after migration should show the details of what steps were skipped.
