Hi Team,

Our current version of solman is 7.2 SP16 running on AZURE with windows OS and MYSQL database.

abap and java ( Already its dual stack split system)

Now are planning to migrate our existing version of solman system to UNIX OS and HANA database.

Do we have any standard procedure for migrating the solman from windows/sql to unix/PERSON_NAME ???  i couldn't find any standard guide in SAP portal .

Also not sure if we should be using SWPM tool or SUM DMO for this type/scenario of OS DB migration were target is PERSON_NAME DB ? could you please comment on this.

Dear Customer,

For explanation on Solution Manager 7.2 migration procedure, please see SAP Community blog https://blogs.sap.com/2016/05/04/simplified-upgrade-and-migration-to-sap-solution-manager-72/ and SAP Note 2345636 as well.

Indicate that both SWPM tool or SUM DMO(for ABAP part) are supported. Following guide would help:

  1. SUM DMO( http://support.sap.com/sltoolset )
    1. SAP Note 3296402 for DMO with SUM 1.1 SP 02
    2. Guides for DMO with SUM 1.1 SP 02
  2. SWPM

Best regards,
