Migrate CI-DS agent server

We currently have a Windows 2012 server that could not be upgraded to 2019, we want to migrate our current Agent server to a newly build Windows 2019 server. What would be the best approach?

-- 1) Backup and restore

-- 2) Content Migration: Use the Promotion Management Tool (PMT) to move content from the old server to the new one.

if we just install the new agent server ? should we need to create the datastore and also all the projects will be there ?

Hello Leo, I recommend you to install the agent in the new server, datastore and task are independent, at the time you run a task, the agent should be selected.

You have to check the jobs you have already running and change to be executed with the new agent.

Thanks Sebasian, that means we only need to configure a new agent on the https://hcids6.hana.ondemand.com/ agent tab, the data stores and projects are still on the cloud, need to reconfigure , right?
