Hi
I have created an interactive form in LiveCycle Forms Designer 11.0. It is ready to go.
Seems like a very simple question... What do I do to give this to my end users so they can interact with it and fill it out and simply save it on their device ?.
I have the latest version on my mobile phone of Adobe Pro today btw. Mobile devices are what my end users will be using.
I have tried to save the Designer form as a Static Form - but when I open it on my mobile phone via Adobe Pro it says "This form requires Adobe Acrobat Reader DC". I also gave this saved Static Form to a colleague that has an Apple phone and laptop and he was able to open and interact/fill out the form and then save it !. Works on Apple but not on Adobe Pro !?.
I have tried to save the Designer form as a Dynamic XML Form - but when I open it via Adobe Pro it says "This form requires Adobe Acrobat Reader DC" and the Text in it says "Please wait.... If this message is not eventually replaced by the proper contents of the document, your PDF viewer may not be able to display this type of document". I also gave this same form to my colleague that has Apple and he got the same message.
So I raised a SAP case and asked the same question. They got back to me
I am not using SAP IFbA - but this cut no slack from SAP... they then said
Poor form from SAP - seeing as Adobe no longer support LiveCycle Forms Designer and seems neither do SAP. !
So I have now decided to simply use Adobe Pro. This is much better for my simple purpose - I may strike problem when I need to integrate with SAP but that is for another day. Also of note that my form with Adobe Pro is 1/10 the size of the same with Forms Designer plus the fact that it works on my Mobile phone.
