Language Code for SAP Business Warehouse Application Server Power BI Connector

Hi All,

I am facing a problem in connecting to our SAP KPW server using SAP Business Warehouse Application Server Power BI Connector.

I am able to connect to the server from Power BI Desktop ONLY if I select language code as EN. If I don't, it mentions that I don't have the right credentials.

So from Power BI desktop, I chose the language and I entered my credentials and I was able to connect.

Now the problem happens once I publish the same working dashboard to the Power BI service. It seems that when the dashboard is published to the service, Power BI service sort of "loses" this language code parameter, so it keeps showing me a message that my credentials are invalid (like it used to do on Power BI desktop when I did not enter the language parameter). I keep trying to enter the credentials again on the semantic model settings, but it just keeps telling me it's invalid.

This started happening only recently after we have been told by the business that "A background platform called Business Objects is being decommissioned, and that we will be logging in using SAP Analytics Cloud, impacting how SAP connects to KPW or BW system" Before that, I was able to refresh the semantic model without issues from the Power BI service.

Is there a way to fix this? I was thinking maybe a parameter to be added by the end of the connecting server URL? Any other ideas?

Is my interpretation of what happened that it related to the language code even correct?
