Hi iam Working in windows environment in db2 udb

my question is to take " full online db2 database whole backup in local drive E and copy to local drive F . can u tel me step by step procedure

Hello Mahesh

Why do you want to backup to E drive first and then copy to F drive? You can straight away copy to F drive or where ever you want.

Just login into OS level as db2<sid>, open command prompt and run the below command.

db2 backup database <SID> ONLINE to <target path>

create a target path like F:\Backup07052018

This folder will have datafailes and logfiles as well.

you can copy this entire folder to wherever you want.
