How to update Language for User in SAP Identity Management Service via CSV file

Hello Experts,

I am working in IAS to authenticate users in BTP . I am following below steps to import the user in IAS via csv file and send activation email to user.

1) Create csv file (you can find the screenshot of csv file in attachment )

2) Go to IAS : Import users --> Select application --> import csv file and send email .

Here issue is by following above steps language in not updating for user even though i have updated 'locale' in csv file . I have configured email template in different languages and its working when i manually add Language for user and then send activation email but it is not feasible if we have 1000 users .

Can anyone has any idea how to fix this .

Hi Sonia,
you have to differentiate between uploading users 'on tenant level' or for a particular application.
If you're uploading users with full user profile without application context (https://help.sap.com/docs/identity-authentication/identity-authentication/import-csv-file-with-full-user-profile), then the language has to be specified with 'locale' attribute.
In case you're uploading users for a particular application (https://help.sap.com/docs/identity-authentication/identity-authentication/import-or-update-users-for-specific-application), then the language can be specified with 'language' attribute.
