I'm reaching out to gather insights regarding an initiative we're undertaking for a client. They are eager to implement a centralized system for disseminating important information to their end users, such as process changes, updates, and downtime notifications.
Our initial thought was to leverage the notification service within the Launchpad for this purpose. However, it appears that the options for sending custom notifications in the SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud might be limited
With this in mind, I've been exploring alternative solutions and came across the possibility of using Situation Handling as a potential workaround for posting notifications. My understanding is somewhat limited, and I've noticed a lack of comprehensive documentation on integrating situation handling with custom business objects
I would greatly appreciate any advice, experiences, or insights you could share on this matter. Specifically, is it feasible to create a situation object linked to a custom business object for this purpose? Or are there other strategies within the S/4 HANA ecosystem that you would recommend for achieving centralized communication with end users?
