Exception handling for IDoc scenarios in CPI

Hello All,

We have good number of IDoc to File based scenarios running in Production system. Currently the exception process triggers an email notification to required recipients in case of any failures in CPI. Based on the type of errors, IDoc's are being re-triggered from S4 to CPI as a corrective action. This is becoming a hectic activity for functional team to check email notification and taking corrective action from S4 side. Can anyone suggest if there is any automated process can be implemented which reduces manual effort from S4 side?

Options that I see are:
