Eclipse - Add Software- PKIX path error due to certificate missing in JRE std trust store

Hello Eclipsers out there, 
right after installing and opening Eclipse 2023-12, I wanted to add the SAP tools via Menu/Help/Install new software....using work with URL: https://tools.hana.ondemand.com/2023-12

I got a popup with the error  "Unable to read repository at   https://tools.hana.ondemand.com/2023-12/content.xml    "

With details in the error log: 

PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

Although I finally found an easy one, I would be interested in your approaches to fix it. I will share after some comments.

And if anyone knows where the SCN Wiki  (https://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/SAPHCP/SAP+Development+Tools+for+Eclipse+Installation%3A+FAQ+a...) is gone, which they still have on  https://tools.hana.ondemand.com/2023-12/ 

They just reroute to the start page of the new community.
