Datasource 2LIS_11_V_SSL Enhancement

Dear Expert,

I went through many threads on SCN but couldn't get answer for my issue so I am starting this new thread.

I have a requirement to enhance the datasource 2LIS_11_V_SSL. I need to add few fields from LIPS table like BATCH No.

I understand that SAP doesn't provide the Communication structure to enhance the DS 2LIS_11_V_SSL.

So I was trying to enhance the DS by append structure in RSA6 but I am getting below error message.

It looks like SAP doesn't support the enhancement of this Datasource.

Need your advise on the same if some one has done enhancement of this DS using CMOD code?

DataSource 2LIS_11_V_SSL does not allow append structures

Dear All,

Thanks for all suggestions. This datasource doesn't support the Enhancement so I created Generic extractor for my requirement.

Hi Amit,

To me it would seems better to do lookup from Delivery Item/Header level DSO for the enhanced fields. Please note that Deliveries are created with reference to SO i.e. Reference doc in Delivery would be your SO (LIPS-VGBEL , LIPS-VGPOS).

seems to be it will not support the data source enhacements.

better you many create the generic data soruce based on the LIPS table then fll the data form ECC to BW.

you need to select the required fields form the LIPS table those fields map to BW side.

Hi,

Seems like above data source won't support for data source enhancement.

Lets check other existing data sources which pulls data from LIPS.

if its have required field in that data flow then its easy to handle at bw side.

At cube level you can add required info object and fill info object thru look up concepts.
