Correclty connecting a TREX and CMS to SLD?

Hello,

I wish to register Systems like a TREX and Content Server to a SLD. (the OS is Windows)

I know that one would have to use the sldreg in the usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\exe\uc\NTAMD64 folder

with the following command:

sldreg.exe -configure slddest.cfg -usekeyfile

After that you enter all the parameters, put the files in the folder

\usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\global

and Restart the Services of the TREX

with the command

saposcol.exe -b | sldreg -connectfile <path to file>\slddest.cfg -stdin -oldtransferdtd

the data Transfer to the SLD can be triggered.

at first i used the sldreg.exe and saposcol.exe of the hostagent, as i used this method more often in Linux. This resulted in only Data from the Host showing up, no TREX related information.

After some searching i found out, that in Windows, you use the on top mentioned paths and immediatly got the error, that a sapcpp47.dll would be missing. I copied the one from the SAP hostagent and then the Commands would work.

For one System it then worked that all the respective Data would show up, however when i tired that on the second System, only Host related information would show in the SLD.

Has anyone had a similar Problem? Is there something i am missing?

Is there actually a easier way of of connecting systems to an SLD?

How would the procedure work with a Content Server? As i have only the sldreg.exe and saposcol.exe from the hostagent.

Thank you for your Time and answers!

Yours Sincerly

Alessandro

okay found my solution, the sldreg in the folder /usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe/ and so on is the wrong one

in the folder /usr/sap/<SID>/TREX<nr>/exe is also a sldreg, that worked like intended.

Also found a note, that a content server has to be manually created in the LMDB, which is quite a pain, but at least an answer.

Thanks to all those that looked at my post!
