We did In-Place upgrade in our environment and it went well in QA, PreProd environment but we found the issue in Prod upgrade. After the upgrade Chart were displaying in reports when we did smoke test and after some time, it was suddenly stopped displaying in any of the reports. Even we tested Webi Sample report and there also it is not seeing. Can someone faced such issue after the upgrade? Any resolution on it?

Version Upgrade.

BI 4.2 SP09 P4 To BI 4.3 SP02 P10.

Sandeep

Hi Sandeep,

Can you tell us how the problem was resolved? I'm facing a similar issue after upgrading from SAP BO 4.2 SP07 to SAP BO 4.2 SP09.

Have you tested it with another browser?

What error do you see in browser "F12"?

Hi Ayman,

When ran chart based report, I found below error in F12 developer console. Could you please let us know if that may caused the issue?

Hi All,

We are having same issue after 4.3 upgrade. In QA it works fine but Prod it is blank. As per SAP suggestion tried re-creating APS that didnt work.

Please suggest.

What is the current version, SP and Patch? Is it working after the upgrade?

Hi Sandeep,

Current BO version 4.3 SP3 P100. We have 3 environments Dev, QA and Production. Charts and Graphs works in Dev and QA.

But not in Production BI Launch pad. When tried refreshing the same via Rich client tool it worked.

Submitted high ticket with SAP and left with no solution yet.

Thanks,

Santhya

Hi Sandeep,

They asked us to re-create APS with visualization service, Tomcat and WEBI cache clearance, Landscape report nothing fixed the issue.

Now asking to do repair we cannot proceed with repair since it is production environment.

Thanks,

Santhya

There were MAJOR changes to the Webi charting engine with 4.3. You will probably have to update the reports to re-do the charts that aren't appearing.

If we are trying to modify the report and creating new chart in Prod, it is not seeing as well. Even we tried promoting the report from working environment to Prod but that also not working. We had raised high priority ticket to SAP support as well but no answer from them as well.

In the CMC under Servers, check the adaptive processing servers that have been configured for Webi - there is a new Visualization Service (I think that's what it's called - I don't have a server available where I can check) that needs to be included in at least one APS in order for charts to work.

We already had Visualization services. After suggested by SAP, they said recreate it and we did but no resolution found after that as well.

Hmmm.... Have you compared the services configuration on the system that's working with the one that's not? Do you have enough memory/heap allocated? (Xmx setting on the server)

Yes compared all the services and all are same. As I said in my discription, it was working after the upgrade and then suddenly stopped after 4-5 hrs later.
