Best Way to Integrate Data with SAP HANA

Hello all,

I am currently looking for ways to integrate Data in SAP HANA and I was hoping someone could help me on this:

Which is the preferred or best practical way to integrate Data between Amazon S3 and SAP HANA (on premise)?

Which is the preferred or best practical way to integrate Data between a Hadoop System (Impala/Hive) and SAP HANA (on premise)?

Thanks for any help or insight you can provide me with.

Regards,

Florian Ullrich

And I think the best way is to use SAP Data Servcies, with native connectivity to all data sources you mention :).

In fact, let it be clear for once and forever: there is NO best way! All depends on the circumstances, there are so many parameters that may influence your decision: your business case, your current infrastructure, your project and timelines, your long-term strategy, the available skills and expertise, your budget... just to name a few.

Hi Florian,

I think the best way is using HANA's SDI (Smart Data Integration). SDI supports many adapters including Apache Impala and Hive.
