BD52 for Enhanced Datasources

Hi Experts,

Question is specific to Change Pointer Based Datasources:

Before posting this question, I tried to find an answer on scn community and could not find a relevant answer.

I require help on making entries in BD52 transaction and then transporting it.

Here is the scenario:

I enhanced 0MAT_PLANT_ATTR datasource with field EISBE (safety stock). Now it works fine in Full loads and delta loads. But when I change only stock  safety limit for the material it do not generate the delta record. The reason is because there is no entry for EISBE in the transaction BD52 or view V_TBD62 for the message type of datasource.

So I added the entry in development system in transaction BD52 for message type say 'RS0088' and it worked fine in Development system and delta records started generating properly.

Now the problem is when I transport this entry in quality system the message type is auto generated in each system for each datasource and hence it do not find the message type in quality so no entry is made by transport.

There are some threads which say we have to go to each system and make an entry specifically which I am leaving as a last resort.

I also checked the Note 2177126 - Custom field delta not reflected in BW master data extraction

but it only says make an entry, it do not explain how to transport it.

It might be a simple thing but I am kind of struggling with it from couple of hours

Hi,

Please try with transaction SCDO. Select your object and check the generated information. Also try to Generate update program.

In the your quality system do you see your entry in change pointer table (BDCP and BDCPS) ?

Just an update that there could be a way with WE81 by creating the message type that is present in Quality/Prod and then creating a field entry in BD52. But not sure how much risk in involved in it. I feel it is going to much over board.

Please share if there are any ideas.

Hi ,

I also faced same issue to transport BD52 as message type is different in systems. Raised SAP note, and opted to open client and enter values directly in QA and Prod.
