Bar chart data label formatting against percentages

I have a chart which shows the change in volume y to volume x as a percentage as bars. On the bars I also put a data label which is the actual difference in volume. All the data labels unfortunately are 100 times bigger than they should be because of the format I have on the calculated percentage difference measure.

In the example above it shows this well. -92% is correct. The difference should be -537 however it shows -53,700.

How can I fix this?

Have you tried to change the Default value to 0 ?

Currently in your screenshot it's set to Default (in the variance panel)

Thank you for the suggestion but this unfortunately makes no difference to the number 😞
