Hello,
We installed ADS version 12 64bit on Windows 2019/2022 and we used Windows 8/10/11 machines (ADS 12 32bit client) to test some features.
We realize that the more recent Windows we use (the client machines use Windows8/10/11 but have identical hardware), the performance of the ADS decreases.
Increasing memory, increasing cpus, using SSDs, modifying ADS service settings (Connections/Work Areas/Tables/Index Files/Data Locks/Worker Threads) are not enough to increase the performance lost by using a recent Windows.
I wonder if there are not possible things to configure/modify at the level of the network layer to improve the performances, I have the impression that there is a bottleneck at the level of the communication network between the server and the client station.
Have you noticed this phenomenon too? And have you found any tips for the network configuration on the server and/or on the workstations? For information, the ADS.INI used already contains all the server name/ip/port information as well as forcing the use of TCP_IP.
Currently we are testing in MS Azure environment and the loss of performance on high-performance machines with recent Windows is significant.
Regards,
Mickael
