We are using the dboledb12!DllGetClassObject to access the Sysbase DB in our application.

After the update to the newest Windows Update KB5028166 we get probelms with accessing the database.

We ask microsoft an they check the system and find out, that the reson is the access over the dboledb12.

We are using the

dbicudt12.dll 0xb480000 0x429000 c:\program files (x86)\sql anywhere 12\bin32\dbicudt12.dll iAnywhere Solutions, Inc. 12.0.1.4085 (32-bit) 12.03.2014 19:50:23
dboledb12.dll 0x10000000 0x103000 c:\program files (x86)\sql anywhere 12\bin32\dboledb12.dll iAnywhere Solutions, Inc. 12.0.1.4085 (32-bit) 12.03.2014 19:49:27
dblgen12.dll 0x65000000 0x111000 c:\program files (x86)\sql anywhere 12\bin32\dblgen12.dll iAnywhere Solutions, Inc. 12.0.1.4085 (32-bit) 12.03.2014 19:48:52

This is the error form the windows dump file

# ChildEBP RetAddr

Are there newer drivers availble or have somebody other hints for solving that problem.

Thank for you help.

We have not been able to reproduce any issues with .NET or OLDDB drivers running on the Windows Patch that is referenced. If this is in fact a bug in the SQLA OLEDB driver, it is not going to be fixed in SQLA 12 unless it has already been done by build 4436 which was the last shipping version.

Are you able to share a repro for either of the .NET (preferred as it is in an active release) or OleDb issues. If so, are you able to open a support incident?

While I noted that there is a newer patch, I do not believe it will have any changes to affect the issue that you are describing. In any event, the last SQLA 12 patch can be found

  • Go to the SAP Support Portal
  • Select Software Downloads from the options
  • Select Support Packages & Patches on the Download Software page
  • Select Archive by Alphabetical Index (A-Z) and select S to expand list
  • Select Sybase SQL Anywhere from the list
  • Select Sybase SQL Anywhere 12.0
  • Select Windows on X64 64BIT in the dropdown
  • Click the link above SQL Anywhere 12.0.1 SP109 Build 4436
