Hi,
There can still be stale sessions exist in the BI environments with recent versions as well, due to any custom applications developed using SDK, or any application sessions, which are not properly configured.
In this regard, if administrator want to clean-up long existing sessions (if any, if exists...), can use the scripts available in KBA 1996692, with the more recent versions of BI, that is BI 4.3.x as well.
Note: However, when administrator plan to run these program objects with the recent versions of BI, that is 4.2 SP09 Patch 1200+, 4.3 SP02 Patch 800+ and 4.3 SP03+,
need to make note of a recent change with Program objects rights related configuration, which is mentioned in the following KBA 3245474.
But if the goal is to consider only the stale sessions (clearly stale.. not long existing..), there is more advanced script (StaleSessionCleaner.jar) available,
which comes with the BI installation itself, please refer the following Note 2824483 and guide Script to clear Stale Sessions.
Regards, Venkat.
