Can't perform sourcing for missing supply of x in time, because of the planning horizon

Hi experts,

I have a very strange 'explanation mode' message at when running the TS optimizer for a Customer Demand that is not met : Can't perform sourcing for missing supply of 14673864.859473 in time, because of the planning horizon.

The only option i could think of would be long lead time, but I don't have any and my planning horizon is almost a year.

Any idea?

Can you explain, in which weeks you are getting this issue. if is it first few weeks then please increase the Cost for first few week, your issue will be solve.

Hi Pierre,

I think it might be a miss-handling of Master Data. Check the affecting Attributes such as Lot Size(Especially Max Lot Size), Max Keyfigures, Source Availability with appropriate ratio, Lead Times etc,.

Try running the infinite without shortage algorithm over the data set to know whether it is an issue with data or algorithm.

Thank you for your answer. I was only selecting 'Demand not met'. I tried to reduce the planning run to 1 Teck week but it gives me the exact same message. I then tried with 2, exact same thing.

Do you have other ideas?

Hello Pierre,

when multiple issues are selected for explanation, the found reasons can't be assigned exactly in some cases.

Please select only the one demand and the corresponding period for explanation.
