Need suggestion on any IAM or IdM system to integrate with SAP Fieldglass for User Profile and Role Provisioning.

I understand Fieldglass connectors - User Upload / Download & User Role Upload / Download can be used. And will there be middleware required?

Hello, we'll endeavor to answer this from two directions.

First, generally: The SAP Fieldglass open connector framework is a set of tools and APIs provided by SAP Fieldglass to enable integrations between SAP Fieldglass and any external system.  Refer to the SAP Help portal for a library of all standard SAP Fieldglass connectors.  The user/IAM-based connectors referenced in the question are in there, as well as many, many others.

All SAP Fieldglass standard connectors are system-agnostic, and yes, middleware is typically required as is common in most cloud-to-cloud and cloud-to-on prem integrations.  Middleware brings the necessary infrastructure, tools, and capabilities to enable seamless communication, data transformation, and orchestration between cloud applications.  It abstracts away the complexities of integration from the applications in play, allowing organizations to focus on leveraging each to meet their business needs efficiently.

The connectors can be configured via a configuration manager account in SAP Fieldglass- see more information on configuration manager on the SAP Help portal.  You'll find that the fields required, processing logic, transfer method, etc will depend on the particular configuration of the SAP Fieldglass tenant.

Second, specific to the SAP familySAP Cloud Identity Services allows customers to manage identities, authorizations and single sign-on across cloud and on-premise solutions.

Generally, SAP Cloud Identity Services are a group of services of SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP), which enable you to integrate identity and access management between systems. The goal is to provide a seamless single sign-on experience across systems while ensuring that system and data access are secure. SAP Cloud Identity Services include Identity Authentication, Identity Provisioning, Identity Directory and Authorization Management.

More information specifically on the SAP Fieldglass + SAP Cloud Identity Services integrations can be found here on the SAP Help portal.
