Local(DM) PRT material stock not getting updated on TOOL usage.

Hi experts,

I have created a few PRT-type materials and followed this blog to configure all TOOL-related setups. As of now all the functionalities revolving around TOOLs are working as mentioned in the blog above. Now I've also created Floor Stocks using the "Manage Floor Stock" app for the 4 material PRT. 

My Scenario: Take an example of an equipment PRT - Welding machine and a material PRT - Welding electrode. Now there are no "stocks" per se for the Welding machine but as the Welding electrode is a consumable, I'd like to have a stock of the same and also track its usage in terms of how much of the received stocks is now available on hand. 

Issue: I've created the stocks for PRT materials. But it's not getting updated whenever I'm using the tools. So the question is - Does this even happen or not? Is it possible to track the available no of equipment prt and stock of material prt? 

Any help will be valuable and do let me know if more info is required from my side. Please let me know if this scenario is possible or not. And if it is possible, then how to achieve it?

Hello Harsh,

Logging Tool usage does not consume inventory ootb at all.
If you want to consume any materials, you must add it to BOM and consume accordingly.
