Custom code migration during upgrade of S/4 HANA.

We are planning to perform an upgrade of S/4 HANA. While in the preparation phase of the project, we have performed custom code analysis and generated the custom code analysis report.

Could you please let us know when this custom code should be adapted? Should that be done before starting SUM tool?

or the custom codes can be adapted after the upgrade?

It is recommended to use the Decommissioning Cockpit before the migration of Custom Code. Before the conversion/upgrade, you should finish the life cycle of the decommissioning cockpit project.

During the process, you will generate some deletion transport requests to delete any objects that you do not want/do not need for after the conversion.

After this deletion transports numbers are created, they can be provided to the SUM tool and then the deletion will be done during the SUM operation.

Then, you can start the conversion/upgrade to S4 HANA and migration of the Custom Code.
