SuccessFactors and Active Directory Integration

Hi all,

We are in the very beginning of integrating SuccessFactors and Active Directory, and I need some clarity on a few things. Hope someone can help.

1. As I've seen in previous projects, it is not before the employee is hired in EC and sent to AD, that the username and business email address is generated.

So how is the username normally created in AD (and sent back to SF)? Is the username created based on attributes such as first name and last name in SuccessFactors?

2. If an employee change last name, would we expect the email address to change automatically? Meaning, change is triggered from SF to AD and back to SF? I would believe no, because of lisences? But if a change must be done, would we then do the email adress change directly in AD?

I guess what I am really after, is some general information on how username and business email process would look like with SF-AD provisioning enabled.

All answers appreciated.

Thanks!

Br,

Ines
