Field Visibility in Compensation Portlet

Dear Community,

We have a task for one of my Client.

We have 3-4 fields under Compensation Portlet and this fields visibility depends on another field which is configured under Job Information Portlet.

For e.g Field-A, Field-B, Field-C, Field-D configured under Compensation Portlet and under Job Information there a field called Location Category. If Location Category is USA, then Field-A, Field-B, Field-C, Field-D won't be visible under Compensation Portlet else it will be visible.

I tried to write the rule however its not working but when i create Location Category Field inside Compensation Portlet then its working but Client don't want to fill the Location Category information twice i.e one in Job Information and one in Compensation Portlet.

So is there anyway this can be achieved without creating Location Category field inside Compensation Portlet

Please suggest a workaround
