SAP GTS 11 | Requirement codes ("Bewilligungscodes") for Swiss import customs declaration

Hi everybody,

We intend to use SAP GTS 11 (SP21) for creating import customs declaration with Swiss customs authority. For some tariff codes, a permit obligation exists; for such tariff codes it is necessary to enter a so-called requirement code (e.g. 8716.9099). SAP Help provides some information on the topic:

https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP_GLOBAL_TRADE_SERVICES/bdb1d2fb216941a69f6300006343e977/97c427d24c9844f...

However we do not understand how exactly
1. we have to define master data for these permit obligations and
2. how we can assign a code to a product on master level data.

We'd be grateful for every bit of information that helps clarify the issue.

Thanks,
Manuel

Hello manuel05122022,

Have gone through the above document mentioned document and found first you need to customise/integrate your requirement as the SPRO path given in the document. If you haven't any idea about that then connect with your SD/MM/GTS Consultant to configure classification. Afterwards you can maintain your codes in material master data.

Let me know if any questions.

Regards,

Neeraj Jain

Hello Neeraj Jain

Thank you for your reply. Our consultants are't experts either in this very specific question. Nevertheless, we were able to sucessfully set up another specific Swiss customs characteristic: the NZE-codes (also mentioned in the document) - here, customizing has been configured properly.

The question now is: where exactly in the customizing for number schemes we need to configure that specific classification ("Define Scheme for Additional Codes"; "Define Scheme for Authority Codes" - this is where we configured NZE-codes)?

If you could provide some suggestions, that'd be great!

Regards,

Manuel
