Migrating EPM Reports from BPC10.0MS to BPC10.1NW /HANA

Hi All,

Good morning. I have a unique requirements where we are migrating from BPC10.0 Microsoft to BPC10.1NW -BW on HANA. This is a classic version not Embedded. We will create all the backend/admin objects (Dimensions, Properties and Models etc.) in BPC10.1NW identical to BPC10.0 Microsoft.

Question: Can we copy all the EPM Reports in BPC10.0MS in Pen-drive/C-Drive and migrate/copy to EPM of BPC10.1NW. Will it work? what are the migration path and risks involved? I have about 100 Critical EPM reports in EPM10.0MS. There are no Visual Basics. Your help and advise is much appreciated.

BPC (NW standard, embedded, MS...) is not a "standard" system, each customer customize it in line with business requirements. For some simple system (single model) without complex calculation logic it's an easy job to convert from MS to NW. In other cases the migration can be significantly more complex including ABAP development.

Hi Vadmin,

Thank you for your response. Can you guide me through the Migration Process in that case. My expertise is more on BPC10.XNW/HANA.

Any help is much appreciated. In this migration I was only concerned about EPM Reports and I was under the impression that the rest can be replicated what is in Microsoft version to BPC10.1NW/HANA. Please let me know if there are more into this.

Thank you so much for your help.

Sorry, but there is no "standard" solution. Full investigation has to be performed with full understanding of BPC MS.

"We will create all the backend/admin objects (Dimensions, Properties and Models etc.) in BPC10.1NW identical to BPC10.0 Microsoft" - are you sure?

First thing you have to analyze business calculations transfer including script logic etc... Then you will see what will be different in models dimensions and properties.
