Hello,

I need to extract data from SDL in order to transfer Financial Transactions to a BW environment and make some reporting. What's the best way in order to do this?

Thank you

Matteo

Hi Matteo,

There are 2 options for extracting data from the Bank Analyzer core system using "Generic BI data extraction" function:

  1. Generic BI data extraction with the Data Processing Framework (DP Framework). Check out this SAP help portal link.
  2. Generic BI data extraction with the Calculation and Valuation Process Manager (CVPM). For this option check out this link.
Both links refer to SAP online documentation on functions, transactions and customizing to be used. You will find menu tree (Table of contents) on the left side of the page, which you can use to navigate through.

In addition, there is a good technical documentation - "Data Retrieval via Open Hub Destination" answering your question in details.
First, access "Installation & Upgrade Documentation" link (then navigate through the menu tree on the left side of the page as follows: Industry Solutions → Industry Solution Guides → SAP for Banking → Solution Management Guides).
And finally choose "SMG - Data Retrieval via Open Hub Destination (English)" file. Note, that you have to be logged on in 'SAP Service Marketplace' in order to access the file.

Best Regards

Create DSO on Primary objects and then build extractor to BW.
