SAP PM - Retrospective Booking of Labour hours

Hi,

We are trying to book hours to book labour hours to Planned Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance work orders in SAP PM and the technician time is reset to '0' when the Work-order is processed.

It was identified that we can only book hours for works completed in the current Financial Month ( Work orders completed in July & the closure processed in July ). If we try to close a back-log WO for works completed in May / June and enter hours retrospectively it sets the labour hours to Zero.

For work history reasons does anyone know how to get the hours into the system so we can trace time spent for reporting purposes ?

If you want the actual costs for these IW41 postings, then you will need to get the the posting period opened - and that could be a challenge..

You might be able to record the time without the costs by removing the Activity Type from the IW41 screen (depending on your configuration).

Either way, talk to your Finance Team who should be able to help.
