Retain SID vs Change SID during S4 conversion

Hello,

We are on the path of moving out OnPrem ECC server to S/4 on RISE. One of the puzzles we are trying to find answers for is confirming our SID for systems on RISE. We know it is not possible to do a SID change using SUM DMO with System Move and SMOVE2S4 approach. That leaves us to opt and choose same SID that we have on our OnPrem Server. With that said, until we go live with S/4 and do a Production conversion we will basically have two same SID’s for our Development environment and Quality (1. For OnPrem Development system that will be used for Maintenance Support until go-live and 2. On our new S/4 Development system). This all looks feasible with respect to S/4 conversion but how do we connect the new S/4 Development system to our PO environment SLD and integrate that in our SolutionManager LMDB for ChaRM configurations with same SID that of OnPrem system which will be only used for break fix and UAT until Go-Live? Same goes with connecting S/4 system to BW, GRC, etc which already has connections to OnPrem Maintenance Landscape with same SID.

Any one here who has gone through this topic recently and what steps you have taken to overcome this scenario.
