Multi-level Configurable Materials - Planned order not created after MRP run S4 HANA 1709

We have a multi level configurable material which is entered in sales order.

Characteristics for the Header level VC is entered in the order;

BOM is determined using dependencies.

All characteristics for sub level VC material are inferred based on dependencies.

Two scenarios -->

I. For Multi-level VC sales order when we manually change the inferred values of sub level component before saving the order and enter header config values. Planned order not created after MRP run.

IBIN tables has only one entry.

II. For Multi-level VC sales order when we do not change the inferred values of sub level component before saving the order and only enter header config values. Planned order is created after MRP run.

IBIN tables has two entries.

Hi,

In the first case, you are changing the configuration parameters manually and hence BOM calculation is not working / inconsistency in configuration causing the issue.

You have already mentioned that, when you do not change the data, it works fine. This means there are no inconsistency in automatic mode.

Thanks

Prem

Hey Friend,

Sorry i was kinda inactive for a very long time. I am not sure if you still have this issue or you got any resolution. To me the first scenario sounds like inconsistency in configuration resulting in no planning. Please check out and revert.

Thanks
