Hello,
How re-schelude maintenance plan during maintenance cycle, when maintenance cycle/packet has been changed.
Scenario 1 Cycle change from 1 MON -->2MON :Single cycle plan with two maintenance item (ITEM1 and ITEM2), and in this scenario ITEM 1 maintenance order has technically completed and ITEM 2 maintenance order has not technically completed. When is ITEM 2 preventive maintenance on next time?
Scenario 2 Maintenance cycle change in strategy plan for 2 items: strategy plan with two maintenance item. ITEM1 packet changed from 1 MON to 2 MON and ITEM2 maintenance packet changed from 2MON to 4MON. In this scenario ITEM 1 maintenance order has technically completed and ITEM 2 maintenance order has not technically completed. When is ITEM 2 preventive maintenance on next time?
Hi,
In both options, if the completion indicator is set in Maintenance Plan, then system expects both the Items Work Order to be Technically Completed.
Also, next call date will be impacted if you have maintained Shift Factors, Validity Date, Completion Requirement Check box etc.
Else, it will schedule and create the next call on the respective call date.
The catch here is the change in frequency. When you change the Package and go to IP10, all the ON HOLD will be changed. If you change the Frequency from small to big, i dont see any impact, however, when changing from big to small, you may get orders created.
Only issue is Strategy Plans, in your scenario changing from 1M to 2M and 2M to 4M, below might be the impact
If Hierarchical Strategy, highest package only will be called. This will create only one order, even though you have two items. It will pick the highest Package item.
This is sample testing, when you suddenly change the package and you dont re-start. Some scenarios which we may not think also, can happen.
When there is a package change, try to identify the next package and then re-start your maintenance plan.
Regards
Terence
