Dear Gurus,
Our client is implementing an In-House Cash module to meet their Cash pooling (zero Balancing) requirement. We are receiving a bank statement (MT940) format, about the transfer of funds from a subsidiary to the head office i.e Sweep transaction
My question is there a way to identify transfer as the repayment of a loan or a deposit? If so, how do you identify them?
refer the scrrenshot ;
Currently, BTC code used here MSC; miscellaneous
NCMZ ; – Cash management item – Zero balancing
Thanks
Hi,
The kind of transaction whether repayment of a loan or deposit is decided on the basis of external transaction code included in bank statement file. This list of external transaction codes is configured under the Transaction Type which in this case is MT940.
Therefore, when the bank statement file is being processed if the EBS configuration as in the External Transaction Codes, Posting Rule and Account Symbol are correctly configured then the system would automatically identify whether the transaction being posted is a repayment of loan or a deposit and the document would be posted.
Below is link where more details with regard to EBS configuration is included:

Thanks and Regards,
