Different Product Receipt Against a Production Order SAP B1

Hello,

I am new to SAP. My company manufactures plastic rods. We have a scenario where we produce rod of 1 meter and 2 meter. During production if there is any defect on any side of the rod it is cut into a 1 meter rod as a finished good which can be sold later and the defect part is sent for recyclying.

Now my question is if i create a production order for a 2 meter rod and issue necessary raw materials for it and if after production a 1 meter rod is produces how can i change it in the production order.

I can create a new production order for 1 meter rod but then what about the raw material issued on the first PO.

Hi,

1. If 1 meter is defective, you can receive it as rejected quantity

2. If 1 meter is usable, then you can use return components from Receipt from Production window-->Return components.
