Changing Service Quotation after send to customer

Hello,

we have the problem, that after the service quotation is send to customer and we want to adjust quotation we cannot delete position:

We know that we can also reject this position and add new one but the position is still on service quotation formular that is not good. The customer does not see the difference on it.

Do you have any solution? Is this an error in the system?

Hello Alex,

next CE 2011 works in the same way. I asked to Development Support about this feature some days ago. They didn't answer yet.

However, my feeling is that "system works as designed". In fact, I think that system shouldn't allow to modify it.

my colleagues from development support just explained

"This is an expected behaviour in the Service Quotation. When the Quote is “Sent to Customer”, all changes which happen on the quote must be transparent to the customer. Once sent to customer, any changes to the quote is with customer involvement. So, deletion is not possible for items which were rejected by customer"

Hello Silvia,

thank you for asking! I also think that the system works as designed, but i am intrested how service quotation formular is still correct after chage, because it still shows the deleted or rejected position. So I understand that adjustments can be done, but sending quotation makes no sense so i need a new quotation?
