Spit an internal table based on a field value

Hi Experts,

I have a situation where I have to split an internal table based on a value encountered in a field. like

Field1 Field2 Field3- derivation

A Check the A-B block If one of mat1,2,3 has some flag. Populate field3 as X

1 MAT1 if flag not found, set em as Y. So the check has to be done on each block.

1 Mat4

2 mat5

1 mat6

Could you please help with your ideas.
