Dearest Developers,
SAP kept you waiting for far too long. But finally the wait is over - we put a new developer license live, covering all our major platforms and technologies. You find the license terms here: SAP Developer Center Master Software Developer License Agreement (covered technologies are listed).
We have already replaced the license agreements for cloud-hosted developer editions you get through the developer centers and for the ABAP and Java downloads on the SCN Download Center. Over the next couple of days, the licenses on all other download and sign-up locations for the software listed as part of the license will be replaced as well. One exception will be SAP HANA Cloud Platform, as the SaaS model with SAP being the service provider needed some extra terms that would have made the unified license too complicated even for our taste.
Having one unified developer license that covers all our technologies is a major step for SAP - I hope you find this as valuable as we do.
