We recommend going to kernel patch #201. We have found a memory allocation problem with kernel #200.
On behalf of the SAP Screen Personas development and product management team, I am happy to announce the availability of SAP Screen Personas 1.0 Service Pack 3. This release, combined with SAP Note 1942877, continues to incorporate feedback from our customers to improve the performance and usability of the product.
Here are a few of the updates in SP3:
Enhanced scripting engine. Writing complex scripts is one of the ways that customers automate keystrokes to improve user productivity. In many cases, the flow is not necessarily linear, so some branching capability is required. We have enhanced the scripting engine to make it easier to use “IF” conditions, including the ability to nest them and test for the existence of specific controls. We have also added some new functions to the scripting controls.
Improved performance. While Personas can greatly speed transaction throughput by batching commands to the back end, we have added another option for improving performance. With Personas 1.0 SP3, we have introduced “Delta Rendering”. Delta Rendering is a data transfer optimization technique between the client and server intended at minimizing the payload that is transferred over HTTP. It allows Personas to render only the elements on the screen that have changed, rather than all the screen elements. As with most performance enhancement options (caching, for example), there are use cases where it makes sense to use this and situations where it will not speed performance. Personas provide the ability to apply Delta Rendering for specific transactions or flavors.
More controls. As people expand the number of use cases where they are applying Personas, they encounter new situations that require some fine tuning of the product. In response, we have added or modified several functions, including:
· Global text replacement for table headers
· Ability to copy multiple lines from clipboard into scrollable text box
· File upload/download capabilities that work in more situations
· And many more...
Bug Fixes. As usual, we fixed several bugs that customers found when they were rolling out Personas into their environments. This is always part of Service Packs.

- Install kernel note 1913055 on top of kernel 201
- Upgrade to Personas 1.0 SP3 (available for download from Service Marketplace)
- Apply note 1942877 after installing Personas 1.0 SP3
