The evening started with a celebration of SCN being 10 Years old and those community members that continue to make it a self perpetuating community. SAP even brought the big guns out… well the T-shirt bazookas to be precise, fired by Chip Rogers and Maggie Fox.

Continuing on the nights events, DemoJam did not cease to impress, with 6 teams showing what they had created using SAP Technologies such as… SAP HANA, Gateway & UI5. The Teams were all given 6 minutes by Ian Kimbell to present to the gathered audience of SAP TechEd attendees. The rules, no powerpoint, no fluff, just 100% demos & all successfully completed the task.

The line up can be found here http://www.sapteched.com/2013/emea/activities/demojam.htm

Once again last years winners, Nic Doodson & Will Powell from Keytree Ltd in the UK, showed some great implementation of various hardware technology such as a Microsoft Kinect & Leap Motion, as well as an IOT enabled refrigerator. Thumbs up indeed!!! (see below)

Though the night went to the team that won Monday evenings InnoJam… In fact I believe this is the first time an InnoJam winner has gone on to win DemoJam!!!

#CloudSitter was developed in the 30-hour event and used a hardware monitor and SAP HANA & UI5 to identify & alert parents of young children susceptible to SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome)… A worthy winner that I hope can go further, using SAP HANA to record & analyse data. #CloudSitter Team is… Matthew Riches & Andreas Profitlich, Red Solution and Barmer GEK
