I am writing this short post to give you an update since today is July 31 and many of you know that it's the end of the usual, annual SCN Topic Leaders contest period.
For those who don't know about it, we recognized the top 3 contributors in various categories in the past years, selecting them for the points they earned in a topic between August 1 and July 31 the following year.
This year our intention is to continue providing the list of SCN Topic Leaders, thanking them for their contributions and giving them a well-deserved recognition. There will be some changes in how we select the Topic Leaders because a lot has changed since last year, including the recent addition of gamification (missions, badges) that brought many other ways to shine than just with points. The criterium will still be highly based on points.
Early August I will be working with oddss to finalize an updated Topic Leader recognition program based on contribution points and taking into account the new environment (Jive and Gamification). Then, we will need another few days - maybe a week - to come up with the list. Please be patient as the effort is very manual this year.
