ESPN has a show called "Outside the Lines", to reflect what happens "off the field" - this blog is intended to go "outside the lines" of the traditional show floor and ASUG educational sessions.

First up, when I showed up Sunday to register, I was able to see the building of the conference - see below:

I also saw the building of the SAP Press booth:

The last day of the conference the very busy Jon Kent of SAP Press showed me how the annual subscription to the online library of books works. You can contact them by checking out their website.

On Monday I ran into kirsten.sutton and Rachel Floyd of the SAP Vancouver office.  I met them both at BI4 Elite last November and they kindly gave me this nice pin:

I appreciate Kirsten's help in promoting the ASUG sessions with Canadian speakers.

I also got to see fellow ASUG volunteer Joyce Butler receive her SAP Mentor shirt:

As Mentors we got to first meet with Steve Lucas's direct reports and then with Steve himself:

I liked the fact he had his team with him - it was a great idea.

On the last day, I saw one half of the SAP Analytics social media team, and they filmed this video of nic.smith and me - it was one of the few times I made it to the show floor, where I discuss some of the ASUG sessions:

On the last day, we had a final Mentor wrap-up session, open to everyone, just as the events team was taking down the show floor:

Pictured above is tomas.krojzl with chip.rodgers standing.  We got to hear some upcoming announcements of the new sap.com, but it's not my news to share

On my way back to the hotel, I took a final picture of this:

This was the sign outside the sap.mentor room.

And finally, yes, now a shameless plug for SAP TechEd:

This was on the ASUG show floor - don't forget to submit for SAP TechEd.  Do you recognize the people in the picture?
